On October 1, 1996, we opened the doors of our new location at 630 Main Street. Moving from the Northgate office into downtown Edmonds was the perfect choice for John and Sandy.
Built in 1895, the home originally served as a private residence. Decades later, the Larsen family made it their home, and their name has remained an important part of the building’s history and legacy. Today, the house stands as a cherished local landmark, representing more than a century of Edmonds’ residential and commercial heritage.
In 2013, the home was designated as a historic property by the Edmonds Historic Preservation Commission and officially recognized as The Charles Larsen house. While the home reflects the changing character of downtown Edmonds—from residential roots to a vibrant commercial community—it has retained its charm as the quaint “little green house” that our team, clients, neighbors, and friends have come to know and love as McDonald McGarry Insurance.
For 30 years, we have been incredibly proud and honored to call Edmonds home. We are grateful to have been part of this wonderful community for three decades and look forward to continuing the tradition for many years to come.
